Binding Antibodies to Cells in Suspension

(Protocol summary only for purposes of this preview site)

Cells in suspension normally are stained only for cell-surface antigens. For internal antigens, it is easier to attach the cells to slides using one of the techniques described in Protocols 35. Surface staining can be performed on either fixed or live cells. To minimize capping when using live cells, all buffers should be used cold, and sodium azide should be added to a concentration of 0.02.
